Winter TBR (November - February) Hey Guys! I don't normally bother with monthly TBRs, but as there's so many books I want to read in the next few months I thought I'd do a Winter/End Of Year TBR. There's quite a few books on here and seeing as I don't know how much reading I'll be able to get done, I may be setting quite a lot for myself. The list contains some review books, rereads and a couple of books that have been on my TBR shelf for what feels like forever. The list may change as I do want to read some festive books, but this is just a general idea of some of the books I hope to read. Without further ado, here is my Winter TBR! Review Books The Girl In The Glass Box by Andi Adams Synopsis: A witch. An apple. A mirror. That’s all most people think of when they recall the story of Snow White. But the truth is rarely so simple. What if the Queen wasn’t born evil and the princess wasn’t always so pure of heart? Is it possible that these two women could have ended up in one another’s place? The Girl in the Glass Box tells the story of Agrippine and Genevieve, two women who are not all that different, but who quickly learn through a series of choices, encounters, and devastating losses that the course of their fates can change in an instant. Through the influences of the people they love and lose, both are redefined as their stories head for a different sort of happily-ever-after. I found a magic cell phone, opened an app I shouldn't have, burned down the set shop for my high school's theatre, and it was all downhill from there. A drag queen seer who lives under a bridge is my only hope for keeping my mom alive, and I think the cops might be after me for destroying my dad's penthouse. But it gets better! If I have time after that, I might continue on and read Diamond and Little Stars. Synopsis: A fantastic new adventure for brave, feisty Hetty Feather - one of Jacqueline Wilson's most well-loved characters. Since leaving the Foundling Hospital, Hetty has seen her fair share of drama, excitement, tragedy and loss. After the death of her beloved mama, she sets off to find a real home at last – starting with the search for her father. But Hetty is no longer a simple country girl, and begins to fear she’ll never truly belong anywhere. And even when she is reunited with her beloved childhood sweetheart Jem, Hetty still longs for adventure – especially when an enchanting figure from her past makes an unexpected reappearance. Could a more exciting future lie ahead for Hetty? Rowling I would also like to reread as much of the Harry Potter series as I can if I have time. I would at least like to get to Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Synopsis: Harry Potter thinks he is an ordinary boy - until he is rescued by an owl, taken to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, learns to play Quidditch and does battle in a deadly duel. The Reason ... HARRY POTTER IS A WIZARD! GR - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/72193.Harry_Potter_and_the_Philosopher_s_Stone BD - https://www.bookdepository.com/Harry-Potter-and-the-Philosophers-Stone-J-K-Rowling/9781408855652?ref=grid-view&qid=1511616100220&sr=1-2 Other The Last Of The Spirits by Chris Priestley I won this in a Goodreads giveaway sometime last year I think. I meant to read it last Christmas, but wasn't really interested. It's been sat on my shelf ever since, so I'm finally hoping to get to this by the end of the year. Synopsis: Sam and Lizzie are freezing and hungry on the streets of Victorian London. When Sam asks a wealthy man for some coins, he is rudely turned away. Months of struggle suddenly find their focus, and Sam resolves to kill the man. Huddling in a graveyard for warmth, Sam and Lizzie are horrified to see the earth around one of the tombs begin to shift, shortly followed by the wraithlike figure of a ghostly man. He warns Sam about the future which awaits such a bitter heart, and so begins Sam's journey led by terrifying spirits through the past, present and future, after which Sam must decide whether to take the man, Scrooge's, life or not. A perfectly layered, tense and supremely satisfying twist on one of Dickens' most popular books, cleverly reinvented to entice a younger readership GR - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/20617773-the-last-of-the-spirits?from_search=true BD - https://www.bookdepository.com/The-Last-of-the-Spirits/9781408851999 Carry On by Rainbow Rowell This book has been on my TBR for what feels like forever. I've wanted to pick it up so badly over the last few months, but just haven't had the time. I'm hoping to finally pick it up over Christmas break or early next year. Synopsis: Simon Snow is the worst chosen one who’s ever been chosen. That’s what his roommate, Baz, says. And Baz might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he’s probably right. Half the time, Simon can’t even make his wand work, and the other half, he sets something on fire. His mentor’s avoiding him, his girlfriend broke up with him, and there’s a magic-eating monster running around wearing Simon’s face. Baz would be having a field day with all this, if he were here—it’s their last year at the Watford School of Magicks, and Simon’s infuriating nemesis didn’t even bother to show up. Carry On is a ghost story, a love story, a mystery and a melodrama. It has just as much kissing and talking as you’d expect from a Rainbow Rowell story—but far, far more monsters. GR - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23734628-carry-on BD - https://www.bookdepository.com/Carry-On/9781447298908 Elizabeth Is Missing by Emma Healey I've owned this basically since it was released. I hope to read it before the end of the year but if not I think it'd be the perfect mystery to snuggle up with on a cold day in January or February. Synopsis: ‘Elizabeth is missing.’ Maud keeps finding notes in her pockets with this message scrawled on it, but she can’t remember writing it. That said, she can’t remember much these days: the time of day, whether she’s eaten lunch, if her daughter’s come to visit, how much toast she’s eaten. Still, the notes about Elizabeth nag at her. When was the last time she spoke with her best friend? It feels like ages ago... Frustratingly, no one seems willing to help Maud find her: not the police nor Elizabeth’s son - not even Maud’s own daughter or granddaughter. It’s like they’re hiding something. Maud resolves to take matters into her own hands, and begins digging for the truth. There are many clues, but unhelpfully, they all seem to point to another unsolved disappearance: that of Maud’s sister Sukey just after the war. Could the mystery of Sukey’s disappearance lead Maud to the truth about Elizabeth? As Maud’s mind retreats into the past at a frightening pace, alienating her from her family and carers, vivid memories of what happened over fifty years ago come flooding back to give her quest new momentum. GR - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/24179216-elizabeth-is-missing BD - https://www.bookdepository.com/Elizabeth-is-Missing/9780241968185 There are so many more books I really want to read before the end of the year, but I don't want to overdo my TBR as I'm not sure how much time I'll have. I have 2-3 weeks off over Christmas and New Year but I don't finish till quite late in December, so reading time before the end of the year will be quite limited. Any books on this list that I won't finish by the start of 2018, I'll just carry over into January and February.
If there are any books on this list that you guys think I need to get to straight away, let me know. Also, make sure to let me know your Winter/End of Year TBR in the comments below! BYE!

February TBR! Hey Guys, So, this month I'm going to set myself another small TBR. I feel quite confident about this TBR as it's mainly review books that I need to either read this month or the very beginning of March, so I know I'll read them. I'm really looking forward to jumping into these books and getting some reviews up. Let's get into my February TBR! A Magical Venice Story: The Girl of Glass by Holly Webb About a month ago, I started up a new NetGalley account as I used to have one but things got out of hand and a lot of the books that I downloaded to read had expired off and I wasn't able to open the PDFs anymore. Anyway, this was the first book that I decided to request on my new account. It's coming out at the start of March so you'll probably see this mentioned again soon. I was really happy when I got excepted to read this as it sounds like such a fun childrens' book. However, I couldn't seem to find the book on Goodreads, so there won't be a link below for that. While I'm writing this, I've already read this and I loved it. I should have a review up soon, but here's the synopsis: An enchanting tale of magic, friendship and adventure for readers aged 9 and up - from bestselling author, Holly Webb. Mariana lives with her family on the Venetian island of Murano - famed for its artists who create masterpieces from glass. But when Mariana's little sister, Eliza, dies their father decides to use his glassmaking skill - and a dash of magic - to create a girl of glass in Eliza's image. The remarkable glass doll, who sings, dances and talks, draws attention wherever she goes, and soon Mariana is famous for having the magical glass sister. But as the glass girl takes on more and more of Eliza's personality, Mariana begins to suspect that there is more than just magic at play. Could the girl of glass be her sister's ghost made real? BD - https://www.bookdepository.com/The-Girl-of-Glass-Book-4-Holly-Webb/9781408327685 Sunny Side Up (Geek Girl #4.5) by Holly Smale I'm hoping to finally read this this month as it is the only books that I haven't yet read in this series. As most of you may know from previous posts, this is one of my favourite series and it was one of the first series that I read when I first got back into reading. Basically, I've loved every minute of this series and am quite ashamed that I haven't yet read this, but this is the month I'll change that. Also, this fits well with my next and last TBR book! Here's the synopsis: Harriet Manners knows many facts. And she knows everything there is to know about Paris… except what to do when you’re the hottest new model at Fashion Week. Can Harriet find her je ne sais quoi or will it be sacré bleu! on the runway? Find out in this hilarious summer special GEEK GIRL novella from the no. 1 bestselling author Holly Smale. GR - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/27209626-sunny-side-up?ac=1&from_search=true BD - https://www.bookdepository.com/Sunny-Side-Up--Geek-Girl-Special--Book-2-/9780008163457 Forever Geek (Geek Girl #6) by Holly Smale AAAAAHHHHHH! That's right, I managed to get myself an early copy via NetGalley and I'm so excited to read it! However, I'll be prepared to get a bit teary as it is the last book in the series. Once again, this is another book coming out in March, so I'll be uploading my review nearer to that time. Here's the synopsis: Harriet Manners knows almost every fact there is. Modelling isn’t a sure-fire route to popularity. Neither is making endless lists. The people you love don’t expect you to transform into someone else. Statistically, you are more likely to not meet your Australian ex-boyfriend in Australia than bump into him there. So on the trip of a lifetime Down Under Harriet’s to-do lists are gone and it’s Nat’s time to shine! Yet with nearly-not-quite-boyfriend Jasper back home, Harriet’s completely unprepared to see supermodel ex Nick. Is the fashion world about to turn ugly for GEEK GIRL? It’s time for Harriet to face the future. Time to work out where her heart lies. To learn how to let go… GR - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/32288152-forever-geek?ac=1&from_search=true BD - https://www.bookdepository.com/Forever-Geek-Geek-Girl-Book-6/9780007574698 Anyway, those were the books I'm planning on reading in February! I'm hoping to read more than those three books, but these are my highest priorities because 2 of them are review books for March.
Let me know what books are on your February TBR in the comments below! BYE! December TBR/What I Hope To Read Soon As many of you will know, I'm pretty terrible at sticking to TBR's, hence why I haven't done many this year. However, for some reason I just really wanted to do one this month and try and stick to it. I didn't want to set myself too many books as I know I just wouldn't read them all, but instead I picked a few books out that I wanted to read soon to sort of make it easier for myself. This post is a lot later than I wanted it to be, but that can't be helped as I didn't know whether I was definitely going to write this post. I made a written list of some books in my notebook at the end of November and then decided to write this at the last minute. So far the TBR is going a bit better than normal and I have already completed two books off my list. Anyway enough of me rambling, let's get into my December TBR! The fist book on my December TBR is Girl Online: On Tour (Girl Online #2) by Zoe Sugg. I read the first book, Girl Online, when it came out and did really enjoy it, despite the controversy surrounding it. So, when Girl Online: On Tour first came out I got it as soon as I could. However, I just never ended up picking it up and actually reading it. It's been on my TBR pile for so long that I'm fed up of it and decided I need/want to read it now. This is actually one of the books I've already managed to read this month already, so I'm very happy that I can finally said I've read it. I did enjoy it, but you will be able to read about more of my thoughts in my December Wrap-Up or when/if I do a review. GR - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23208406-girl-online-on-tour?ac=1&from_search=true BD - http://www.bookdepository.com/Girl-Online--On-Tour/9780141364223 The second book on my December TBR is Girl Online: Going Solo (Girl Onine #3) by Zoe Sugg. I thought I'd add this on to my TBR just incase I ended up reading Girl Online: On Tour and wanted to carry on. I got this recently as a signed pre-order from WHSMITH and I did feel a bit guilty about having it when I'd not yet even read the second book, which sort of added to my urge to read them. This is actually the second book that I've already completed from my TBR and I'm really happy to be able to say I'm now up to date with the series. I am thinking of doing a series review with mini-reviews for each book, so if that's something you guys want please comment below saying so and I'll make sure to do that soon! GR -https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/30340276-girl-online-going-solo BD - http://www.bookdepository.com/Girl-Online-Going-Solo-3-Zoe-Sugg/9780141372174?ref=bd_ser_1_1 The rest of the books I had written down, I'm not sure whether I will read them this month now or not. The other books I had written down were:
- Username: Evie by Joe Sugg (as this has also been on my TBR forever) - Carry On by Rainbow Rowell (I've been saying I'll read this book soon for ages, but just haven't had an urge to yet. Maybe I'll get to this one, though it depends what mood I'm in.) - Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling (I'm currently reading the Harry Potter series for the first time and this is the next book I've got to read. I thought it'd be good to read it this month because of the HarryXmasToYou readathon etc, but it is quite long and I'm not sure if I'll have enough time.) - The Last of the Spirits by Chris Priestley (This was on my TBR last Christmas and I started reading it on Christmas Eve. I read a few pages and then put it down and haven't picked it up again since.) - Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare (I got this a couple of months ago and thought maybe it'd be a good time to get back into TMI and TID, but again they're quite long and I don't want to rush them.) As you can see I'm really not sure what I'll read, but I just thought I'd mention what I had previously written as options. I guess I'll just have to wait to see what I'm in the mood for. I've also got three books left on my Goodreads reading challenge, hence why I don't want to read longer books like some of the ones I listed above. Though, if that's what I want to read, I guess I will read it even if I don't complete the goal, because it's a book I want to read. I don't know and I'm just rambling now, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see what I pick up next. Anyway, that was my sort of TBR thing (not really, haha). Let me know what you're planning to read/have read this month below.. BYE! February TBR! (The Definite Part!) I know that I said in a post a couple of days a go (A Note About Wrap-Ups and TBRs) that I was going to stop doing TBRs. Well, this month I do actually have some books that I know that I will be reading and some that I do definitely want to read, but it all depends how much time I have for reading this month. Also, I do have a few books already that I'm expecting in the post for reviews, so it looks like a lot of my month will be spent reading and reviewing those, but if I do have time here are the books that I want to read/finish off. In December/January, I did start quite a few books (3, I think) that I never finished and this month I want to catch up and finish those off, so I can mark them off my TBR pile. I'm going to start with those: The Sin Eater's Daughter by Melinda Salisbury I started this last month as a re-read so I could remember some of the things that happened in preparation for The Sleeping Prince launch this month. In January I got 132 Pages in before the end of the month, so one of my aims this month is to finish the last 200 or so pages and then get my hands on The Sleeping Prince and read that. As I'm writing this now (Feb 7th) I've already finished The Sin Eater's Daughter, but still haven't purchased The Sleeping Prince, but next week I'm off school and my mum is going to take me shopping and I'll buy it then. M is for Magic by Neil Gaiman I also started this last month because I needed something short to read while I was waiting for a book to come that I wanted to read. Anyway, I read the first short story and haven't continued since. I've got about 220 pages left and I'm hoping I can read them all this month. The Last of the Spirits by Chris Priestley I started this back in December as it's a Christmas Carol retelling and I wanted to read it in the festive season. I ran out of time as I had so many wintery/festive books to read and unfortunately this was at the bottom of the list. I got around 7 pages in then I put it down as I also didn't feel in the mood for it. I've got just under 200 pages left and just like the previous two, I would really love to get to this this month. I've got three whole books that I NEED to read this month (at least as I also have 3 picture books coming in the post for review). Luckily, one of these is a buddy read so I should be able to get through it reasonably quickly. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter #2) This is the buddy read which I mentioned above. I think I've said this in quite a few blog posts now, but if you don't know I'm currently reading Harry Potter for the first time and I'm buddy reading them with the amazing Dahabo (from @admirerofbooks on Instagram.) If you're not already, then you should definitely follow her as her account is just amazing and she's so kind! Anyway, we're reading a book a month for seven months and as it's February, we are reading the second book. I loved the first one and can't wait to continue as I've heard that the books just get better and better the further into the series you get. The Lost Hero of Cape Cod by Vincent Miles I was sent this for review from the author (thank you!) and I'm actually currently reading it. It's a historical biography account of one of the 'pirates' who was important in the Maritime trade of America, Captain Asa Eldridge. When I got the email about the book, it did sound really different to the normal stuff I read, but it also sounded really intriguing. I went into this book really excited, but I'm struggling a bit with it. For what it is, it's a good, amazing actually account of that time period and also the background history to Captain Asa Eldridge's family and other families at the time. It's just me, I just think maybe it's not for me and I'm also struggling a bit with the language, I don't understand some of the parts and also there are moments which I think could be helped with shortening. Anyway, I'm hoping it'll pick up soon and you'll hear more of my thoughts in my review and also my February Wrap-Up. Dark Escape by Eileen Sheehan I was sent a finished ebook copy of this for review from the very kind author, Eileen Sheehan (Thanks Eileen!). If you're not aware, I recently read and reviewed Eileen's The Vampire, The Handler and Me and I also did an interview with her. If you would like to check those out then I'll link them at the end. Anyway, I believe this is a fantasy/romance novel and I'm really excited for it. I'm hoping that I'll be able to read it this month, but I don't know if I'll have time. If I don't end up reading it this month, it will be one of the first books I read in March. When I've read it I will be posting a full review for it so keep your eyes peeled for that. There are also two releases this month that I'm hoping to both buy and read this month. However, if I run out of time this month to read them, I'll just carry them onto my March TBR and then I'll definitely read them. The Sleeping Prince by Melinda Salisbury (The Sin Eater's Daughter #2) This is already out, but I just haven't had time to go book shopping, but next week I have a week off of school and me and my mum are going to go to basically my favourite bookshop and I'll get it there. Head Over Heels (Geek Girl #5) by Holly Smale This isn't out till the end of the month and that's partly why I'm not sure whether I'll be able to read it this month or not, but this is one of my most anticipated releases of the year and therefore I'll be reading it ASAP, whether that be this month or next month. Anyway, that's what I'm hoping/want to read this month. I'm definitely not going to be able to read all of the books above, but I would love to read as many of them as possible.
